Cragside Primary School

Welcome to Year 6

 We provide our children with an engaging and empowering curriculum .We educate children to be:

We are an inclusive school; we value every member of the Cragside family. Our curriculum reflects and celebrates the richness of our diverse community and the wider world.

Key Information:

  • PE days (come to school in PE kit) - Monday and Wednesday
  • Library - Thursday
  • Reading - children to bring their reading book to school daily. Please note: This will not change the days or the number of times that children's reading books are being changed.
  • Homework - 

    Each week we will be asking all children to complete 3 homework tasks, as follows:

    Reading 

    Please read with your child at least 3 times a week, using their school reading book. Children will also be bringing home a school library book for you to share.

    Spelling / phonics

    Children will bring home a spellings / phonics task to do every week.

    Maths

    Children will bring home a Maths task every week (with a focus on learning Maths facts).

     

    Children will bring home their homework every Friday – to be completed by the following Friday.

    Children will receive their homework as a paper copy every week.
